What is the  purpose of this web site?

We are the like a "USA Freedom clearinghouse"

The primary goal/purpose of  this  web site is to raise donation for the hurricane  Katrina victims.

The name used to be Refugee to Refugee why it is  changed now?

Because we want to avoid controversy but want to focus  on helping the people who need help. Currently  most of the victims and others  do not like to be called refugees and we accept their request and we call them Survivors. For us they are heroes and heroines

How do we raise money?

At this time our primary focus is initiating and coordinating fundraising activates  among  ethnic, religion and community  organizations all over the nation. We will help them to announce their events (before and after it happened). Also we formed a team by  group of volunteer translators across the globe. The team is called "Katrina Translators Team" .  The translators are willing to donate part of their translation project income generated from this web site to the victims.  If you have a translation project let us know. Please click here to see the  list of team members and what language they  are offering  for any assignment

Survivor to Survivor A time to pay back

As we all know America is a safe place for refugees and immigrants around the world for centuries. Most of us except Native Americans are a result of refugee or immigration.  For most immigrants one of the main reasons they left their countries could be natural or man-made disasters, and most refugees found that America and the American people are the safe place to seek refugee. Thank you for America now most refugees are in a safe place and they rebuild their family and have first, second even third generation Americans.

In the time of natural or man-made disasters, life if tough. When food, drink, sanitation and shelters are scarce, life will be different.  Help is the only thing you need to get out from this deal. That is why arriving to the refugee camp is the ultimate goal for most refugees.

Hurricane Katrina is one of the worst natural disasters in the American history. It left thousands of people homeless, killed hundreds, destroyed millions of homes and wiped out one city. Now the children, elders, our brothers and sisters living in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama need your help. Now almost millions of Americas are refugees. We think it is time to pay back for what we owe.  If you were in refugee camp and immigrated to America, we think this is time to show your support.  This includes people immigrated to US one way or another.  No one in America knows being a refugee more than the refugee him/her self.  Your story will inspire people to stay strong and build their life, your tips and survival skill will save lives. Your refugee life experience is needed more than ever.

We are planning fundraising activities to the Hurricane Katrina victims in all US cities. If your organization and you  want to be part of this please let us know.

We have designed a web site that will allow people to post announcements, events and to share idea and stories world wide. The website will be www.refugeetorefugee.org  but we have a temporary site http://www.ethiotrans.com/shengo
